Kenny Ray Evans, 72, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on December 18, 2022 at home. Kenny was born in Norman on November 3, 1950. He attended Norman High School, after school, he began his life-long career in plumbing. He retired from plumbing at The University of Oklahoma in 2010. Kenny loved OU football, fishing and being on the lake, and his dogs. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor and his unwavering ability to always speak his mind. His family knew they could always count on him for anything they ever needed. He is preceded in death by his brother Ron Evans. Left to cherish his precious memory are his parents, Jack and Dorothy Evans, his wife of 30 years Deanna Evans, his sisters: Jackie and her husband Randy O’Rorke, and Terry and her husband Jim Bamberg, his children: Shawn Evans, Kendra Evans, Chad Goad, and Nikki and her husband Logan Sill. His grandchildren: Brittani and her husband Matt Welch, Braydon and his wife Kenzie Evans, Rachel Goad, Gavin Evans, Brionah O’Neal, Luke Peters, Blake Goad, and Mason Peters, and one great-grandchild on the way, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, and his dogs Ellie and Annie. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:00AM at Primrose Funeral Service, burial will follow at Norman IOOF Cemetery, and visitation will take place before the funeral service, starting at 9:00AM at Primrose. Serving as pallbearers are Shawn Evans, Braydon Evans, Gavin Evans and Matthew Welch. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.primrosefuneralservice.com for the Evans family. He was married to my cousin Nancy and they shared 2 children before divorcing . he died of cancer .
